How To Apply

Candidates are assigned to testing centres on a first-come, first-served basis. If space is full, candidates may be offered an alternate site based upon availability. The CMOEB cannot accept payment of any kind over the phone or by email. All correspondence will be sent by email. You must add exams@cmoeb.org to your contact list to ensure emails are not flagged as spam. Confirmation will be sent by the CMOEB within one week of receipt of application or correspondence. If you do not receive this confirmation within one week, please e-mail us. An application is considered deficient until all items (application, fees, photo and transcript requirement) have been received.


The following osteopathy educational centers are accredited. Students who have graduated from any of the osteopathy schools below may apply to write CMOEB board exams.

Successful passing of the board exams is one requirement of receiving a certificate of registration from International Osteopathic Association (IOA). IOA members may practice in all provinces of Canada including Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories, Yukon, & Nunavut. The purpose of the Canadian Manual Osteopathy Board (CMOEB) is to establish and maintain uniform high standards of excellence in the manual osteopathy profession and education, primarily but not exclusively by preparing and administering to qualified applicants examinations of superior quality, whereby those legal agencies which govern the practice of manual osteopathy within each province and other countries may accept, at their discretion, those individuals who have successfully completed any part of the examinations of CMOEB, and by providing test and measurement services to the manual osteopathy profession in all areas of demonstrated need, and to advance the manual osteopathy profession when in the best interests of the corporation and manual osteopathy testing.
